Hello! Thank you for your interest in ACP IMIG’s Mentorship Program! ACP IMIG’s Mentorship Program offers UAG 3rd and 4th year students an opportunity to share their experience as US - International Medical Students at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, and help 1st and 2nd year students achieve success in the medical field.
For Mentors
Benefits of Being a Mentor

​Mentors receive a Mentorship Certificate

Eligible to attend UAG ACP workshops/ webinars
Requirements

Be an ACP IMIG active member

Submit Mentor application
-
Attend an orientation meeting
-
Must be approved by UAG IMIG Faculty Advisors
Responsibilities
-
Check-in with your mentee or mentee’s once a month for 1 hour via teams to answer any questions mentees may have.

Share your experience and answer questions relating to:

UAG courses
-
STEP 1
-
Clinical rotations
-
-
Answer questions related to UAG or medicine

Develop and lead online webinars *optional*

For example, panels of students' clinical experience in UAG etc.

Maintain confidentiality at all times
Everyone’s medical school journey is different, but as a mentor, you can help mentees gain access to support, advice, and resources
For Mentees
Benefits of Being a Mentee

​Mentee’s will receive a certificate of completion

Free support, advice, and guidance from someone that has been in your shoes
Requirements

Spots are limited and will be fulfilled on a first-come-first-served basis
