Integration of public health issues with our medical education

The following trainings are all available for free and all lead to a certificate at the end

Overdose Prevention Training

Given the current opioid crisis, it is essential healthcare workers are trained on overdose prevention and bystander intervention. Our students are connected with an online training and certification platform here.

Aligned with AMA Opioid Task Force and ACP Naloxone Guidance, increasing knowledge and access to Naloxone requires medical students to be trained on its efficacy and importance. Our goal with this information is to make an impact on our community. This includes being prepared on how to reverse and overdose and spreading awareness.

Medicated Assisted Treatment

This course allows for medical students to learn the foundations of medicated assisted treatment for people with substance use disorder. MAT Waiver Training course allows medical students to have additional DEA licensing to prescribe these life- saving medications.

Harm Reduction

Harm reduction is evidence based and saves lives. This training provides foundations for understanding this utilized public health measure.

HIV Training

HIV training opportunities are important for medical students.

Reproductive Health Equity

Foundations of Reproductive Health for clinicians is an essential training course.
